According to the NEPC resolution on February 13, 2023, the Action Plan for the Promotion of Battery Energy Storage Industry in Thailand 2023-2032 was established. This plan aimed to develop battery industry as one of the mechanisms driving Thailand’s economy under new S-Curve industry development of Thailand.

        The plan encompassed four strategic pillars to promote BESS consumption and production, to adjust legislations and regulations to create novel study/research, and to improve capacity building to accommodate future expansion (Figure 3.12).

        Regarding solar power applications, the plan will focus on creating domestic BESS consumption market using government new strategy (demand-driven), which was consisted of 6 approaches. (Figure 3.13).
